4. Scotland UK - Castlehill Heritage Centre and AOC Archaeology

Schooner and a Viking ship.
The schooner was made from an old photograph of Castlehill Harbour.

Our Sea
The crash of the sea as it breaks on the shore-line,
The sough of the sea as the tide ebbs away.
With the roar of the waves came here settlers and rovers
The incoming tides brought sea harvest to shore.
The tides that of out are transporting our young men
To fishing, to battles, to countries unknown.
The in-rushng waves are harnessed and captured
To make easy the loading of flagstones and corn.
The harour and bay are now lonier places,
No crack of the sail, no clip of the oar.
But deep in the hearts of the people who live here,
The pull of the sea is as strong as before.
Muriel tells me this poem was in a seachest.
But who wrote it?
