13. Scotland UK - Joanne B Kaar

The paper is made from rhubard collected at Mary-Ann’s cottage mixed with linen fibre.
Made from an old pastic folder. Waterproof!

Made from silkpaper, then handstitched.

Four of the boats are made with papers from banana skins and waste linen fibre from the Scalpay weaving shed in the western Isles. Painted with acrylic then hand stitched. The last one has added string made from New Zealand Flax.

Joanne is a member of the IAPMA - International Association of Hand Papermakers and Paperartsits.
